Job Description Job Description Masonry Estimator Masonry Estimator Position Overview The Masonry Estimator is responsible for accurately assessing and estimating the costs associated with masonry projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, clients, and construction teams to ensure precise budgeting and resource allocation for masonry work. Key Responsibilities - Review project plans and specifications to prepare detailed estimates for masonry work. - Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop accurate project budgets. - Collaborate with project managers and contractors to discuss project requirements and timelines. - Prepare and submit bid proposals for masonry projects. - Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for estimates. - Maintain a database of costs and pricing trends for masonry materials and labor. - Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in estimates. Qualifications - Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, specifically in masonry. - Strong knowledge of masonry materials, techniques, and cost estimation. - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications. - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred. - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
