Job Description Job Description Senior Accountant Temporary to Permanent - can support 20 hours a week, up to 40 hours a week for temporary term Location: Huntsville, AL Position Summary We are seeking candidates who are passionate about excellence and accuracy in accounting processes including accounts payable, billing, general ledger work and travel expense reimbursement processing. The selected candidate will work on site at our office in Huntsville, AL. The person in this role will be responsible for accounts payable processing, invoicing and collections, bank and general ledger account reconciliations and travel expense reimbursement processing for our joint venture accounting operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to help us advance our joint venture accounting capabilities and drive profit through process improvement and efficiencies. This role will require a wide range, proven skillset of accounting, government contracting and FAR knowledge. In this role, the candidate must be able to perform core duties to meet current and emerging joint venture accounting needs. What You'll Do • Process incoming vendor and subcontractor invoices through remittance • Create and submit invoices for JV partners as subcontractors to the joint venture • Create and submit invoices to the joint venture customers • Perform accounts receivable collections on past due invoices • Perform cash, balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reviews • Support Travel expense reimbursement reviews and processing. Requirements and Qualifications • Associate's degree in accounting or related business field desired; bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred. Directly related work experience will be considered in lieu of advanced education. • Minimum of 3 years government contract accounting experience • Minimum of 3 years Deltek Costpoint experience • Prior experience in multiple facets of accounting operations • Prior experience and knowledge of FAR and DCAA compliance • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance EOE
