Position Overview
--
The Controller plays a vital role supporting excellence throughout
the Organization. This person will partner with the Finance team to
ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance under US GAAP, and
will also partner with operational and engineering leadership to
measure progress towards productivity and efficiency goals.

Reporting Relationships
--
Under the direction of the COO/CFO, the Controller manages the
daily activities of the finance staff which includes the general
accountant, payables and receivables specialists; identifies staff
training needs and assists in the coordination of training
programs; conducts performance evaluations; and interfaces
effectively with all departments throughout the organization.
Requirements:
Reconciles accounts.
Directs daily activities of the finance department.
Manages the month end close process.
Assists with costing of products and annual cost roll.
Assists with the production of financial reports.
Presents recommendations on short- and long-term financial
objectives and policies.
Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital
investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government
reporting requirements.
Ensures tax compliance with state and federal agencies; coordinates
with outside auditors and provides needed information for
audits.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
Six years or more of related experience in a manufacturing
environment required.
Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to fifteen (15) pounds at times.
