You will work closely with the executive team to help lead loan operations projects and initiatives, overseeing the loan servicing and loan processing teams to ensure accurate, thorough, and timely processing and servicing of all loans under maintenance in the Simply Bank portfolio. • Managing the day-to-day functions of the loan processing and loan servicing teams
• Working with senior and executive leaders to ensure all loan processing and servicing initiatives are efficiently scoped and executed
• Reviewing credit approval documentation to identify which terms, conditions and covenants must be included throughout the loan documents, including new loan origination, loan modifications, and loan extensions
• Working with the loan processing team and RMs to ensure documentation is completed, signatures are obtained, and exceptions are cleared for a seamless loan closing experience
• Reviewing and verifying credit files and all information and documentation provided from the customer within required timeframes, including proof of income and financials, credit reports, insurance policies, bills of sale, and other collateral documentation
• Auditing and reviewing new loans to verify that all necessary information and documentation from third-party resources for the loan application and closing process has been accurately completed, including appraisals, environmental reports, credit reports, RESPA documents, preliminary title reports, customer identification verifications, UCC searches, insurance information, flood certificates and various other items
• Ensuring loan payments are processed and reported properly, issuing extensions when necessary and keeping the RMs and leadership informed of customers who are severely delayed or unresponsive
• Assisting with all staffing needs including evaluations, performance reviews, training and the hiring process, as needed
• Exemplifying and upholding the Bank's cultural values and holding the loan operations team accountable for the bank's service and cultural expectations
• Resolving issues, conflicts, challenges, disputes, and customer questions that arise throughout the loan processing and servicing processes
• Understanding and adhering to the bank's operational policies, Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act (BSA), OFAC regulations, and all other applicable compliance regulations
• Orientation to detail with an ability to multitask and remain highly organized
• Active listening skills and a natural ability to ask clarifying questions
• Ability to properly set and manage expectations of others
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in loan preparation, documentation, and servicing in a financial institution
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in personnel management
• Bachelor's degree in finance or business, or equivalent experience in a similar operations role in the banking industry - ----What We Offer
